JAMESTOWN, Calif. – A first-of-its-kind casino opened in Jamestown, California on Monday as the new Chicken Ranch Casino brings a Las Vegas-style gaming experience to Tuolumne County. The casino resort comes with 175 guest room, 22 suites, a conference center, and most importantly a 100,000-square-foot casino with slots and table games like blackjack and poker.
Chicken Ranch has trained and employed 400 people to run the casino resort, while it’s already bringing revenue to the local economy. Chairman Matheson noted that Monday’s impressive attendance showing positively impacted other areas in Tuolumne County, like Black Oak and Sonora.
Will New California Casino Be Too Crowded?
The new California blackjack spot opens adjacent to the original Chicken Ranch Casino, which began as a bingo hall but later introduced slots and table games. The new Chicken Ranch Casino website has a table games section that includes Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, four-card poker, three-card poker, pai gow poker, Spanish 21, and blackjack.
The assortment of table games is nice, but there are only 14 total gaming tables in the casino. Plus, they only offer multi-deck blackjack in the form of a traditional six-deck game or double deck “pitch” game with cards dealt face down.
Luckily playing blackjack at Bovada is legal for California residents and offers plenty of tables so you never have to wait to get in on the action. Bovada and other legal blackjack sites offer multiple blackjack variations, including single-deck blackjack, Spanish 21, and more.
