  • Split: splitting in blackjack is when a player holds the same two cards, or a pair, 2 2, 3 3, 4 4, 5 5, 6 6, 7 7, 8 8, 9 9, 10 10 or A A, they have the option of splitting that pair into two hands. The player will say split and make a two-finger pointing motion to signal the split. The player must also match their original bet to cover the second hand.

The Martingale system is a conservative Negative-Progression betting strategy with massive risk. The basic strategy is that you double your bet after every loss to get back to even.
